I am an engaging person, a former athlete in over 7 sports from high school through graduate school, I remain active, and I’m a good friend and a devoted father. I have several degrees in civil/environmental engineering and was an engineering consultant for several years. I also developed seawater desalination projects, and now I develop precious metal recovery and mining projects. I am a published author of peer-reviewed journals and monographs, and a frequent public speaker. I can be difficult in that I have achieved nearly everything I could have imagined in life and have three wonderful boys that are admired by all. I am very grateful for my life and am seeking the final missing piece.

I go to the gym, coach kids’ soccer, go for long walks with our new Siberian Husky, and ride my mountain and road bicycles. I also SCUBA. I love to cook as that is really an extension of chemistry and I cook many things that my kids love to eat. I am a voracious reader and I closely follow news, politics, and economics worldwide. As Mark Twain once said, “travel is fatal to prejudice” and I look forward to dismantling prejudices and exploring history. I have travelled to France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, and Australia. I am a very willing supporter of the arts, having played both the piano and 3 types of saxophones when I was younger. I am moved by opera, although I don’t understand it! My favorite pieces of classical music are Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, Stravinsky’s Firebird, and Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. I have been lucky enough to have heard Pavarotti before he passed and Bocelli in concert.
